2025 Resolutions – Setting yourself up for success!
So often we we want to aim high and be really ambitious with our resolutions. And while that isn’t always a bad thing (it can be really good to push ourselves sometimes), it can lead to feelings of defeat and failure if you aren’t able to measure up.
If you’re one to quickly abandon your resolutions or to feel down on yourself for not measuring up be sure to start this year off right by planning a resolution that can flex with life and that is realistic.
Here are some specific tips:
➡️ Make a streak-less goal (i.e. don’t plan to do something every single day), allow yourself some days off as a built-in part of your plan from the get go, that way taking a break won’t feel like failure
➡️ Take inventory of all that you are already doing (probably more than you think!) and see what space you have for adding in something more and, weather you have a lot or a little space, be very intentional in deciding what thing(s) you want to do with that time
➡️ Build off something you’re already doing, take something that’s already part of your routine to the next level
➡️ Keep engaged with your resolution all year long by setting a goal that you tackle in parts. Take a larger goal and break it up in to different steps and work your way through them throughout the year.
I hope these tips are helpful for you as you plan your 2025 resolutions. And if working on improving your health by improving your nutrition is part of your 2025 goals I would love to be a part of that journey with you. You can reach out to me here.
