Amy’s Friday Favorites 💜 Up next in my Friday Favorites series is the podcast episode The Rise and Fall of Quinoa: From Incan “Superfood” to Buddha Bowl Basic from the podcast Gastropod. Watch or read along to find out what makes it one of my favorites.
Gastropod
I find food fascinating , which is part of why I got in to the nutrition field. I love what food does in the body and how it can impact health. I also love learning the story behind food. The history as well as different usages and customs from all over the world. And that’s what makes Gastropod one of my favorite podcasts.
Quinoa
In my Friday favorites series I’ll share a few of my favorite episodes from them and today I want to highlight their recent episode on Quinoa. Quinoa has had a spike in popularity in the U.S., in the past 12 years especially, but I do still find with my patients that not everyone knows what it is and how to use it. And even for those who eat it regularly, it’s always fun to learn more. So dive in to this episode and learn more about the story of quinoa. Give it a listen and let me know what fun fact you learn about quinoa.
