Amy’s Friday Favorites 💜 Up next in my Friday Favorites series is the website: Seasonal Food Guide. Watch the video for a quick tour of the site, or read along to find out what makes it one of my favorites!
Seasonal Food Guide
This website is one of my favorite resources to use with my patients who are just starting to do more plant based eating and want some help knowing where to start when it comes to exploring the plant world. This site is a fantastic resource that generates a list of in-season foods for you, based on your location and the time of year.
If you were to go to a farmer’s market in your area these are some of the foods you may find. And if you’ve ever needed help knowing what on earth to do with some of these foods, then check out the “Learn & Cook” section for each item. There you’ll see some suggestions and recipes for how to use the produce.
For me in my area, March is an exciting time of year because it is when strawberries are back in season for us. What’s in season in your area?
Check out the site and see if you can find something new to try.
