Amy’s Friday Favorites #1

Today I’m introducing my Friday Favorites 💜

For 2025 I want to share 52 of my favorite resources for nutrition and improving health. Up first I have the Body Electric Podcast series.

Body Electric

I have absolutely loved Body Electric. I think about what I’ve learned from listening to it all the time and it’s really changed my relationship with my screen time and my movement.

Body Electric explores our relationship with technology and how it impacts the human body. One key impact that’s explored is the more sedentary lifestyle we have because we are often tethered to screens for much of the day.

Get Moving

Throughout the series they provide insights and practical tips for rethinking our relationship with screens and improving our health along the way.

One of the main strategies that they suggest in the podcast is to take breaks for 5 minutes of movement after every 25 minutes of being sedentary. And while this exact amount of movement isn’t achievable for everyone, it gives a nice tangible idea to start you thinking about what you can make work in your life and routines.

I tried to think if there was one specific episode I wanted to recommend, but I couldn’t narrow it down.

I highly recommend listening to it as you find ways to get moving this year – maybe that’s going for more walks or keeping active with chores around the house.

Season 2 even has a ton of 5 minute “Walk & Talk” episodes – perfect for those little bursts of activity in your day.

I hope you love this podcast series as much as I have. And check back next Friday for more of my Friday Favorites.
